Faculty

Florida SouthWestern State College invites full-time faculty and administrators credentialed to teach to submit proposals to lead or co-lead a short-term study abroad program, or to submit a proposal to teach a summer course with a one-month travel abroad component in Italy at our partner institution Lorenzo de' Medici. Please review the eligibility requirements and download the appropriate course proposal form.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Full-time faculty and administrators credentialed to teach may apply. Proposals from all FSW campuses is encouraged.
  • All training is required to participate in international travel with students.
  • Participation in planning meetings with CIE staff is an expectation.
  • Faculty agree to FSW's commitment to duty to care.

FSW Faculty-led Course Proposal

Due to COVID-19, all faculty-led study abroad programs scheduled to take place in summer 2020 were canceled. The Center for International Education (CIE) in collaboration with the Provosts Office and academic departments are working directly with affected faculty members to reschedule their courses abroad for summer 2022. Faculty interested in leading programs abroad for summer 2023 may contact Michael Messina for further information on the proposal process.

FSW in Italy at LdM Course Proposal

The FSW in Italy summer 2020 study abroad program was canceled due to COVID-19. The Center for International Education (CIE) in collaboration with the Provosts Office and academic departments are working directly with affected faculty members to reschedule their courses abroad for summer 2022. Faculty interested in teaching as part of the FSW in Italy program for summer 2023 may contact Michael Messina for further information on the proposal process.
